Political Contribution Refund (PCR) Program

Under the Minnesota Political Contribution Refund (PCR) Program, contributions of up to $50 person/$100 couple are fully refundable by the State of Minnesota. Once your donation is received, we will send you a letter with the PCR form along with instructions to submit for your refund. Here are the steps to follow to receive your refund.

Step 1

Donate securely online here or you can mail a check to Pam for State Auditor, P.O. Box 3231, Burnsville, MN 55337.

Step 2

The Pam Myhra for State Auditor Campaign will mail you a receipt and form provided by the Minnesota Department of Revenue to claim your refund.

Step 3

Complete the form and mail it in the envelope we provide, along with your receipt, before April 16, 2018 to the Minnesota Department of Revenue.

Step 4

The State of Minnesota will send you a check fully refunding your contribution of up to $50 per person or $100 per couple in about two to four weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

What contributions qualify for a refund?

Political contributions you made to eligible state candidates or political parties on or after July 1, 2017. Contributions made before that date do not qualify for a refund.

How much is the refund?

The refund is the amount of your contributions up to $50 for an individual or $100 for a married couple (if you file a joint Political Contribution Refund application).

When can I file?

You may apply for your refund at any time, but no later than April 16, 2018.
